Hard to say Aaen and Bender make quality pipes, will they be used for race or trail?

I just want some good trail pipes - are the Bender and Aaen still available new? - I did not see them on the Bender web site - just bought my first V-Max 4 - its a 95 in real nice shape - picking it up Saturday
I think only Hauck makes pipes new to the Vmax4.

I saw that test in the tech section - I wonder how that test would compare to an 800 - I notice (and I'm sure it is why they are so desired) the PSI's make there peak HP at about 8250 as the Benders peaked at 9000 - I'm not interested in the engine work it would take to spin the motor that fast - anyone know where the Hauck pipes make there peak HP?

Huacks howlers are built to spin 10200. Figure about 1700.00 for the pipes plus coating. For the rpm's you want to run, call Aaen performance, talk to "Jimmy the greek", I think they will still build you a set. Ran Aaens in my 95 max-4 trail since new. an exellent all around pipe. You can get their number off the web, Aaen performance. I think I still have the charts for those, could scan and e-mail if you want.

Hauck gets their trail pipes from Aaen, They are the same pipes. I have set of Aaens on my '95 and like the power they make,(Big difference over stock pipes) also they are not too loud.

PSI's would definetly be my first choice YAMMIEGOD, I'm just don't know how long it would take to find a set - I'll be getting with you when I start working on this bad boy - I've been looking to get one for a couple of years now - let the fun begin!

DUDE. NO PROBLEM. I MYSELF PERSONALLY, WOULD PROBLEY GO WITH AAENS NEXT. ALTHOUGH I BELIEVE THEM AND BENDERS ARE 14 hp. @ 9000. WHICH IS A NICE KICK !! YOU LET ME KNOW WHEN YOUR READY. ! 3:16 (tony)

How high rpm does the Hauc/aaen trail pipes run? Does the 750 crank need to be welded for those? I have been looking PSI pipes but they are very hard to find from Finland. :banghead:

This probably sounds dumb, but 750 PSI's won't work on an 800 will they?

No crank work required to spin 8800-9000rpm on a 800 Vmax-4, the PSI 800 quads spin around 8800.

DUDE, NO. THE 800 PSI QUAD PIPES WERE BUILT FOR THE 800. THE MAXX BLASTERS AND TRAIL BLASTER. THE 750 PSI QUADS WERE I BELIEVE CALLED LAKE BLASTERS. 3:16 (tony)

vmax4rules - it looks like the PSI's make their peak HP at 8250 - isn't that where you would want to dial in the cluthing? - the Aaen's & Benders appear to get peak HP at the 9000 - for some reason, I feel reluctant to want to spin the motot that fast - I've read alot of guys on here doing it - just a bit nervous myself - YAMMIEGOD 3:16 - would I want the Maxx Blasters or the Trail Blasters?

EITHER, FOR THE 800 ONLY DEFFERNCE WAS NOISE. MAXX BLASTER WERE LOADER WITH NO BAFFLES IN THE EXHAUST MUFFLERS. TRAIL BLASTERS WERE QUIETER !! 3:16 (tony)

The 750's run @ 8250-8350 with PSI quads, the 800's with PSI's run in the 8700-8800 range.
Spinning 8800-9000 rpm is no problem for the 800 engines.

My 95 800 has had Aaen's since it was new. Aaen suggests clutching for 8750 rpm. All sleds will vary a bit. I've never had a problem spinning the engine that fast. If I get the chance to let it stretch it's legs, it will climb up over 9000 rpm. I'm running 23/37 gears with 8 tooth extroverts and a 2"X136" track. Power hits at 5500 rpm and pulls hard all the way to top end.
They seem a bit noisy at low rpm's but they're not bad when your "on the pipe"
