Well, spent the last 2 weekends doing the PM I was behind on!!
A) Cleaning carbs, checking jetting etc, lubed everything etc. last weekend
B) This weekend before the super bowl:Remove & seriously clean the clutches
C) Installed the Bender 2" Riser handle bars I have had for almost 2 years!!
Still have to modify the handle bar cover which my wife is doing, so the cover is off right now. She should have that done this week & then it will look pretty much "stock" .

Jamie: Yes, I figured it was a good luck stroke. I think I was buying some stuff from someone over at TY, I forget what now, maybe a spare strut or something & he mentioned in passing that he had the Bender riser, I think I paid around $50 for it which I thought was a good deal...right?
Anyhow, have not driven it yet, but am sure I will like it. But boy, any taller & I would have had to do some "cable" stretching.!!:frech32:
Roadrunner: Thanks for the compliment, I have been called "anal" when it comes to the overall looks of our sleds, but thats the way I like it!!
Its always cool when somebody looks at our sleds, a 93 & 94 & they cannot believe they are 16 & 15 years old now!!
Still like the old iron & will keep them cleaned & tuned!!:4fzfpi:
I know you keep your sleds in awesome shape too.!!
Thanks again.

Cleaned the clutches by spraying them down with Castrol Purple Cleaner, full strength. Did it in a bucket, let them soak 5-8 min, rinse with hot water, & repeat for as many times as needed, blow with air hose & wipe down!!
NOw it did take a few hours but...I am very happy with how it worked.
A friend of mine clued me in to the use of this stuff...NO RESIDUE !!!
When I started, the moveable sheave on the primary would not slide easily, when done, it was sliding very easy.
It is a great cleaner on the aluminum, ya just got to be careful to get it on the whole part at once.
Then the final detail was to take some 1000 steel wool to the primary clutch face & a little Wizards Metal Renew which is what I use on the tunnel.
Appreciate the compliments.
NOw the tunnel..skis etc. .........that is all ELBOW GREASE !!!
