OK, who's worked on these stupid arse things before? I'm putin a reverse chaincase on a ZRT 800. Never seen it put together before, just a cluster of parts. Puttin everything together and the problem I'm seeing is the idler gear, when everything is put together the back side of the chain where it goes around the idler gear rubs on this "chain backer" bracket, and its really tight. Arctic Cat dealer swears thats the way its supposed to be but I've never seen anything like it before. Anybody seen that before and confirm that its OK?

you might be able to get a manual from the local libary and photocopy what you need out of it.

Well, I got it all put back together, still don't like it. Makes me even happier to own Yamaha. The chaincase design of my 92 Vmax is a thousand times better than that 99 ZRT, its pathetic.
