JACOBEY DID A INVITE ONLY TODAY, ABOUT 25 SLEDS SHOWED. we acyually were faster today than three weeks ago because temp was 26 degrees with about ''2 inch of snow. THIS IS HIS QUITE RACE. MARK AND I BROUGHT THE 800 MAXX OVER. GOT TO RACE BRAND NEW APPEX GT. PROBLEY THREE SLED LENGTHS AND PULLING AWAY FOR THE 800 VMAX. DID SEE HIM RUN SEVERAL MORTAL F-7,s and 600 REV, HE WAS RIGHT IN THE MIX. I THINK F-7 BEAT HIM WHEN I SAW IT. THEY ARE GONNA RUN VERY STRONG THOUGH! 3:16 (tony)

Man, I can't wait to run one of these things myself. Hearing so many different reports. First I hear about an Apex beating a Mach 1000, then I hear a couple reports of Apexs being put down by CPR-piped vipers. Then you say you see one get beat by F-7.

I'm starting to think they run about the same the RX's did but with better factory clutching.

AL P, MY VMAX 800 PULLED AWAY PRETTY EASY, I THINK HE WAS ALITTLE OUTGUNED !! BUT ITS BEEN FUN RACING THE NEW STUFF FOR YEAR!! MASTER, SLED LOOKED GOOD THOUGH, THERE WERE A BUNCH OF TY 4 STROKE GUYS THERE WITH RX-1,s, I THINK HE HUNG IN THERE AGAINST THEM. I DID SEE HIM RACE 03 F-7 TWICE AND I THINK HE LOST BY ABOUT A SLED. I WILL SAY THIS, I SAW TO 05 MACH,s RUN LAST YEAR ON ICE, HE LOOKED FASTER TODAY THAN THEM LAST YEAR. CAN,T WAIT FOR REAL TEST! MY 2002 SRX AGAINST APPEX ! 3:16 (tony)

Tony: from what everone says including the dealer, these sleds are programmed to run slower until the computer registers 500 miles. Then they " wake up". Some RX 1 riders told me this> DEAN?????????
We talked about this the other night. Still it's good to know that the 800 can still be noticed, annd kick ass on agood day

You'll notice the sled will loosen up some with miles as did my RX-1. It will get slightly more responsive, run cooler, and pull R's quicker, but there are no limitations programmed in, ya get it all from the first turn of the key.

I know there was talk of the Mach Z's having "break-in" chips that limited power until 400 miles when they burnt out, unfortunately most Mach Z motors don't last long enough to see full power, hehe. :D

I DON,T BELIEVE EITHER THERE ARE ANY REV LIMITERS OR WHATEVER ON THE 4 STROKE APPEX. I THINK ITS THE 800-1000 MILES BREAK INN PROCEDURE YAMAHA TELLS YA ON ALL THEIR 4 STROKES. ONE THING I DID NOTICE THIS GUY WAS POUNDING HARD ON THIS SLED. ! 3:16 (tony)

I bought a new Attak. There is no break in chip. Stock clutching is better but you can gain a lot by using hh,s or supertips & a different helix & spring. After they get 1000 miles & loosen up & get clutching dialed in they will easily pick up 3-5 lengths in 1000'. Been der dun dat with my 03 RX-1.
