whats a new 97 800 worth

I paid $8,888.10 for mine back in the fall of 96. Hmmm, maybe new sled prices are not that bad.

Can someone explain the differences in the 1997 vmax4 800 I know its red like my 96 has hyd brake and has a different suspension,does it look the same as the 96 suspension with more travel or is it completely redesigned or are the production numbers low.

Noticed a 1996 vmax4 800 on ebay under $5000 ,guy said looks new think it was 238 miles with cover and said the cost new was like $9500 that seemed like alota money new?

That guy up in teh Union Grove area of WI has thrown out a number of $25,000 for his 97 with .2 miles. I don't think he would even take that. He just says that to scare everyone away. He doesnt' want to sell and doesn't need to.

It's the real deal. Never had carbides on the skis or fuel in the tank.

Bob (the owner) is a great guy. Recreation Plus is the name of his dealership. He is in Twin Lakes Wi. They have been selling Yamaha sleds since the early 70's. He is one of the most knowledgable dealers you will find and also a lover of the oldies. He has quite a few.
