Has anyone here widened out the ski stance on their v4, just wanting to get some ideas? would it be to much to add 3" to stance in total????
Kits were available for the older phazers. seemed to me it was a big job, But it helped a lot.

I thought I seen a kit for a V-Max in a old sales brochure. I will have to find it and see if it has a part# for you.

I know they were sold for the Phazers, vmax 540's and tim bender had all his SRV's widened...they will go 3" and still appear stock on the outside with the strut covers. Its not really hard I would imagine....scribe where you cut your tubes, so you get the right rake angle when welding back..insert smaller diameter tube in the crossmember and reweld to desired width, then just legthen steering rods, was just looking for some input from others that have done on the v4. I myself would not mind an extra 3". I saw a guy with a 1991 SRV540 with a vmax 600 front struts widened to 42" it looked really kewl, not a half ass butcher job.

Never seen one, the 95-97 V4's are wider than the 92-94's though.

The st models were narrower than the short tracks. Great for side hilling and getting between trees but a wider stance would be nice at 100mph+.

I did two 1988 Exciters with the Bender 3" kits. I wouldn't say it's easy or hard. You just need to have well planed. Have all the parts ready before you start cutting off your pogo's.
IMO the 3" kit didn't make as much a diff as I hoped. A SRV was still WAY better in the trail then the Exciter with a 3" kit.

:agree: :muahaha:
SRV is really sharp rider. What Iīve experienced with my brothers SRV, it runs the corners like a go-kart! Itīs hard to catch in the twisties with a bigger sleds.

I agree Ike, my SRV can really fly around the corners pretty good, I just like the light feeling of it!
