Hey i bought this summer a 94 vmax4 with lots done to it tunnel is extended, longer track off newer polaris on it a bunch of mods to the motor pipes. what i noticed was the radiator has been removed and bypassed there was never an issue with cooling on it as it has a heat exchanger running the length of the tunnel has anyone else done this? or can give me some feed back on this if it is a good idea or to put a radiotor back in?
Thanks alot

Welcome to the site! :schild27::schild27::schild27:
Sounds like maybe someone used it for short speed runs or drag racing, then cooled it down with a cool-down cart. Are there any quick disconnect fittings going to the coolant system anywhere? I think you would be in trouble trying to trail ride it this way.
You can download the service manual for your machine from this site.

Does it have stock heat exchangers in the tunnel or did someone retro-fit a different heat exchanger?

yeah it is the stock heat exchanger on it, my buddy which i bought it off of rode this thing all the time and only had a cooling issue once when there was an air bubble in the line and last winter his friend was riding it across the lake full throttle 9km and blew up a cylinder other than that there ahs never been a cooling issue, it just seemed weird to me seeing other pictures and they all have radiators!!! i was a little confused why it wasn't there
