oil injection removal

Trying to get as much weight as possible off the max.Removing oil tank, pump and lines.Should lose a few pounds. Has anyone done this on the vmax4,are there any concerns that need to be addressed? Any help would be appreciated. If you have, what premix oil do you reccomend and at what ratio 32:1, 40:1 or.....??? Thanks Norm

I took my oil injection off years ago. Works great, much better for your engine when running in the mountains. I use Shell synthetic at 40:1. Have had good luck with it, very sticky oil, makes for a stiff and hard to pull over when cold engine .
Over the winter I will give you a shout and see if we can set up a ride together.

Mountain air al.... thanks for the info.I didn't think it would be a problem unlike my 800 polaris which has external oil lines running to the crank bearings. A ride sounds great.See if ican get this puppy going in the next month or so.
