try the shortcut above...it will depend a bunch on your gearing setup.

I could wrap the needle past 120 mph on the dream meter speedo but we all know how accurate they are (LOL!)

That's so true, but it sure made me feel good the first time I saw it wind around past all of the numbers on the speedo! :3speechle:3speechle:3speechle

Here is a post I made a few years ago, when I still had some info on my dads sled. In the late 90's we had it run again, and had 107 or so again at the pittsfield airport, so it was 1/4mile on hard pack. Seld was in great running shape then, and it held onto it even going into the teen's for miles. It wont run that currently, prob be lucky to break 100, but Im still working on it.
The year: 1993
Place: Newport lake ice runs
Sled: FACTORY STOCK 1992 vmax4 with 144 studs. (sorry if studs disqualify for factory, thats what my sled ran then)
Distance: 1320ft
Alt: ~800 above sea level
Speed: 110.2xx
Odometer: ~2500 miles
Year: 2001
Place: Newport lake ice runs
Sled: Same with just the recalled cluch stuff that yamaha had put out, i belive it was to update to the 800 specs, but you other guys know what i mean.
Distance: 1320ft
Alt: Same
Speed: ~107.+ (dont have the ticket for that one)
Odometer:~12,000
Changes since first run: Few belts, some jetting changes as it was running a little lean when we bought it in 93. A new track with another 144 studs, bought a factory track even. Some bogey wheel bearings, a shock or 2, Jackshaft bearing and a new muffler as one of the old ones cracked after a fairly large ditch jump went alittle arye.
Not to shabby considering Litteraly everything else on the sled is stock. From breaks to drivers, everything. Motor with 15k+ still hasnt been touched. These sleds were, and still are runners. If i remember right (dont quote me) I think our 96 vmax 600 ran 91 or so in the same distance with 96 studs.
Edit: On a side note the radar's that were used to do the lake runs, were the same ones used at the airport, and are the hand held kind from like a cop car. We had heard from alot of people, that they are know for being a little fast. So this might me a mile stronger than actual speeds. But this was with the needle well into the 120 range on the dream-o-meter.
