I BOUGHT A 95 800 NEW AND A 96 800 NEW. I USE SRX TALL COVER SPRINGS IN BOTH. THEY BOTH CAME WITH TALL COVERS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

The tall cover known as the 8DF cap started with the 8DF sled which was the 1998 600SRX, it wasn't even made before that...............

Thanks Tony, I thought they did. I was trying to pick up an 800 clutch to use on my 750, didnt get the clutch but at least now I know if I do get one it'll be what I want. Has anyone used 8bu weights on a 750, they seem easier to get than 89a-10.

THERE WERE MANY HERE THAT HAD POSTED BINDING ISSUES USEING DEFFERENT SPRINGS ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE SUGGESTED RUNNING HAUCKS BLUE SPRING ON THE 750.NOW, IN ALL FAIRNESS, I THINK HAUCK HAD A SECOND RUN OF SPRINGS THAT REALLY ADDED TO THE ISSUE, BUT NEVER EVER WAS A ISSUE POSTED ANYBODY HAVEING TROUBLE ON A 800. YOU BE FINE USEING 8BU, JUST NEED TO SET THEM UP FOR YOUR ENGINE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
I`m hip..I`m running the hauck blue spring on my 95, no problems...it has 4 3/4 coils I believe?

Rustman, ALL 800's 95-97' came with 8BV-17630-00-00(short) caps SRX's came first with 8DF-17630-00-00 caps(tall). If nothing else look it up on the parts breakdown.
If you need 8BU-00's I have several new sets for sale and they work great in 750's, 15.5mm rollers, weight and spring will correspond to what ever secondary you are using, if you had an AC secondary I could get you pretty close

KAWI 500, JUST LIKE GYT SINGLE PIPE CAME STOCK ON A VMAX 600 XT. AGAIN, BEFORE YOU BECAME THE KNOW IT ALL OF THIS SITE, WHEN HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS USED MY CLUTCH SET-UPS, NOBODY EVER COMPALINED OF BINDING ISSUES ON THE 800 VMAX 4. BUT THEY DID ON THE 750. AND JUST TO LET YA IN ON ALITTLE SECRET ,THE 1997 VMAX 600 SX AND 700 SX CAME WITH TALL COVERS ALSO. I BOUGHT TWO 800 VMAX 4 THAT CAME WITH TALL COVERS. I HAVE USED SRX TALL COVER SPRINGS FROM DAY ONE WITH NO BINDING ISSUES, I USED HAUCK ORANGE, BLUE, BLK., RED , MAXXIMUM PERF SRX WHITE, PURPLE, BLK YELL, WITH NO ISSUES. DON,T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YA. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Jeez quit deflecting, some people call that admission of guilt, what is the big deal, look up the covers, use the parts guide, I'm not disputing you, YAMAHA VERFIES YOU ARE WRONG, NOT ME. The tall cover was never even manufactured until 1998 so no 800 came with it new. And I agree with you on the second issue brought up later, I've used most of those springs you listed and they will not coil bind in a sort cover clutch, wha does that have to do with the original question???????????

OH HEY, YAMAHA PARTS FISHE IS STONE lol!!!!!!!DUDE, YOU GOT 14 POSTS ON HERE, I HELPED INVENT THIS SITE. I REALLY DON,T CARE WHAT YAMAHA,S PARTS FISHE SAY OR WHAT YOU SAY. I ,LL SAY IT FOR THE THIRD TIME NOW, IF THE 800 VMAX 4 CAME WITH SHORT COVER CAP AS YOU CLAIM, THAN WHY DID TWO 800,s I BOUGHT BRAND NEW COME WITH TALL COVER CAPS ? AND WHY NO BINDING ISSUES WITH SRX TALL COVER SPRINGS EVER COMPLAINED ON HERE. YET BINDING ISSUES ALL OVER THE BOARD WITH THE 750 COVER. AND I,LL PROVE YOUR WRONG. THE VMAX SX CAME WITH A TALL COVER IN 1997. DUDE, GET YOUR POST TOTALS ATLEAST UP TO 100 BEFORE YOU DISPUTE ME. 3:16 (yammie tony)
