So how many of you guys leave reputation points for others by clicking the little scale at the top right corner of a post?

I like to do it for others when they make good posts because you can read the comments that others leave for you but its annonymous (sp?).

Do you guys ever pull up your User CP and read the comments other members leave you, if any?

I was just reading through mine and thought about this.

PS. somebody left me negative reputation for a post I made in Roadrunners "Your 2 cents" post, not sure what that was for? lol, maybe just a mistake:frech32:

That brings up a good point, I don't believe disagreeing with someones's point of view should be cause for negative reputation. Everyone has their own thoughts, and as long as they leave their comments in a respectable manner, you shouldn't leave negative feedback, whether you like their thoughts or not!

Just my opinion...

I agree MOF, its not really meant to be a tool to "get back" at someone because you dont like thier veiws. the problem i have, is i always forget to rate a thread. then i go back, and cant do it for some reason. I most likely would only rate a thread if i liked it, and of course it would be a positive. its not likely that i would leave a negative, even if i did`nt really care for the thread. it would have to be something really stupid by "certain" people that just like to agitate. but anyway, I have yet to remember to rate a thread. arg!!

I think this tool is being abused by some people and Dean should put a stop to it.....

I'm thinkin there's a couple guys abusin it too, startin to wonder if it was a good idea to bring this up, AL is right, shouldn't be used as a "get back" tool.

Oh well, hope those who are leaving negative reps for people read this and realize what they're doing, negative remarks need to be reserved for truely "improper" posts, not controversial ones.

then the Karma or points thingy should not be there.....if someone reads something someone has wrote, and then they dont agree, and then they see this feature, they will use it.......its human nature....I say get rid of it......but then again thats just my opinion....:bum: :muahaha:

I agree with you MOF, Sam took a hit too. I feel if your gonna dog somebody over a post, then you should have the balls and coment as to why. Most of the political topics are a matter of opinion, 99.9 percent of the world don't have all the facts and never will. They rely on the media for information and we all know thats never the whole story. To DQ someones reputation over a differece of opinion is CHICKEN SHIT

Just my opinion

Master, I hope you don't think I would of done that! I don't even know why someone would do that to you, there isn't even anything I see on that post that would make someone do that! If I ask for your guys opinion, it is fine with me, if someone tells me I was stupid for asking something. That is why I usually ask for your guys opinion, to hear both sides of the story.
Dean, Hopefully you can fix this for MOF
