Depends on what year Vmax-4 and which manufacturer of quads.
PSI's use the stock CDI boxes on all years and if you have a 92-94
most other pipe makers wanted you to change the CDI box.

750 stock CDI has a rev limiter, which don´t allow the engine rev high enough that some of the quads will not make hp. Different rpm´s for different pipes. I don´t have quads, so I´m not sure about this. I think PSI quads are runned lower than any other aftermarket pipes.

800 cdi is good for ( I think) 10 000 rpm´s, so using quads in a 800 is simpler and don´t require aftermarket cdi, when using high rpm pipes.

Anyone else? Tony ? Master of Faster? Help anyone.

Like Rules said, you should be fine.

DUDE, IKE AND RULES ARE CORRECT. BUT ONE SHOULD INQUIRE WHAT RPM THE QUADS THEY ARE BUYING AND WHAT RPM THEY RUN AT. ! YOUR CAN RUN UP TO 9000 WITH A 750 WITH NO CHANGES TO CDI. IF THOSE PSI,s RUN ANYWHERE BELOW 9000 YOU DON,T NEED ANY CHANGES. 3:16 (tony)

Good info guys. It also should be noted that switching to an aftermarket cdi does have more advantages than just eliminating a rev limiter. You can get a custom tuned timing curve for your specific sled which = more HP. The tunes are all different depending on your application and what mods you have.(There is quite a difference over the stock boxes)
Jeff Simon---1-414-698-6611 Sells The boxes for 600, and custom chips for 105. Worth every penny in my opinion.
