vmax4 800

Hi have vmax 800, with a 750 in at moment, i broke the crank in it have line on another crank the 1/2 i need mag side will this 1/2 match the other side or do they both have to be balanced to match. The 800 motor i have blew one piston can i just replace the one piston and all the rings or should i replace all 4 pistons and rings thanks Herbie.

As far as your 800 goes, you could replace the piston and rings in one cylinder, providing the cylinder isn't damaged. If it was my engine I'd be more inclined to replace them all and have a reliable 800 motor that should last a long time.

We have a lot of experienced engine builder's here who will be able to help you with your 750 crank question.

I would`nt hesitate to use one half of a crank my self..I`m certainly no motor building guru though..
but if i just had one half of a bad crank, I`d replace that half with another of the same size of course (800 with 800--750 with 750)...

As far as the piston question, whatever you decide to do, find ut why tat piston went south, and be sure it don`t happen again, could be dirty carb that caused it??
