Lots of snirt,New berry is hardly rideable in the alley.Taquamanan falls trail was an mx track,Beat the piss out of you all the way to Paradise.on the way back after taquamanan we FINALY hit a groomed trail all the way back to New berry.Yea we rode the same trail due to time constraints an getting through New berry after 10-11 oclock you will be ticketed in town.
On a better note we met some girls at the gas station in Newberry,The were headed to curtis area but that was all dirt so they headed out with us going north.2 of them were new rider's so it was a slow at times,One of the girls was riding a 2 up that was out of control. We put and experienced rider on it and he could not get over 50 mph w/o it getting squirrely, So somethings up with that sled. Our inital thought was alignment and too strong of a spring,Gerry the guy we put on the 2 up was about 250 and still bounced him all over.
Good deeds never go unrewarded,When we stopped at the bar in Paradise we all got to talking and it turns out they had a problem with their trailer,One of the tires was coming apart and needed changing. When Wendy tried to turn the lugs 4 of the 5 studs were spinning in the hub,so she could not get the tire off.we offered to help fix it on Sunday and ended up pulling the hub off the spindle and tried to grind off the studs. Not much room in there for a grinder and we didnt have a right angle to do it.
We ended up at Picklemans rite next to the hotel they were staying at and the guy torched out the bad ones and hooked us up with some new stud's,They also bought 2 new tires 80 apiece and about 50 for the work on the spindal. We got them back together and on the road and made some new friend's,All the girl's were married so no happy ending in that manner but they did have some what they called home made moonshine. It was Ever clear mixed with apple something but it taste just like apple pie,Wow was it good!they gave us a couple mason jar's and as it turns out they had a cabin just down the road from my buddy Todd's house in Rexton. It was closed down for winter that's why they stayed at the hotel.
In all we rode about 150 160 miles got home around midnight,The SXR was running real nice,Scotty just got a new Phaser 500 and Todd and Gerry were riding an XCR 800 and RXL 650.No breakdowns, wrecks or problems of any sort.Well there was this one spot on the trail that has a double bump in the middle of a long straight run that almost caused some major issue's but Scotty and I both rode out the freak bumps totaling about 12 feet of air under both sleds.yea 12 feet of air,I just about shit myself as it happened at about 70 plus miles an hour!No turning back I just hooked my feet in when I realized it was gonna be good or REAL BAD.Lets just say that I slowed my roll after that experience and cleaned the poo out of my pants at the next stop!:beathead:540754085409541054115412
