hey just wonder if any of you guys had any trouble with the oil bottle not mixing the gas/oil right. every one from round here ( where i live) is tell me not to trust the oil bottle to mix the gas and that i should do it my self in the gas tank. they got me worried a bit cause i dont want to lose a motor if i can prevent it. any info would be great.

Well, for what is worth...I joined this site july 24th, 2004..and have never heard of anyones injector going bad...someone (can`t remember who now?) took the injector apart just to check it out, and it was concluded, that its pretty much bullet proof...knock on wood...don`t want to curse myself..LOL
EDIT: just found the thread..later in the thread, there`s info on the injector pump..

I wouldn't worry about it at all. I trust the oil injection on the steel tunnel bogie wheel old timers and they always worked. Not to mention the oil injection on my two RD 350's. Make sure all your fuel and oil lines are in good shape.

Yamaha is the one that came up with oil injection and they have it right. Unless you are racing only keep with the injection. JMHO

yes i agree in the 5+ years i have been surfing all kinds of forums i have yet to see someone actually blow an engine because of an oil pump... as long as your lines havent been touching the jackshaft and rubbing thru you should be alright.... proper maintenance is the key!

With normal maintenance and adjustments you are correct.
As long as you are using approx 1 qt of oil per 10 gallons of gas you are good to go.

Alan cheats, he drives his back and forth to work. :rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:
Yeah, stop worrying. With proper care, these things will last until you're too old to pull the rope to start it.
