Hey I just bought a 95 Vmax 4 800. I am trying to clutch this beast, I had a 750 that had PSI quad pipes should have had around 165-168 hp with the reeds. I was running a Polaris primary with Almond spring and 60 gram 10 series weights. and it held 8600. So I thought 800 should be close with that setup so I tried that and revved to 9000 I would have thought I would have been closer I tried 62 grams and still 9000. The belt temps are hot and if I make a run up the hill and come down my primary is hotter than secondary so I know that is where the slippage is coming from. Since 1 gram is usually about 100 rpm I am going to try get a set of weights close to 70 grams and try it out next weekend. But I am starting to wonder if this is a stock 800 or not inside.

Try a set of RX-1 weights, you will have to grind the tip off a bit, but, be carefull so you don't grind too much, that should get you to about 67.5 grams, they have an aggressive tip anyway, make sure to grind them all EXACTLY the same. USE A GRAM SCALE, if you don't have one, either buy or borrow one, but, do not play the guessing game, you WILL be way off.
