I might be way off base here but its something to check. Have you checked your belt deflection? I chased my tail for a week one time because I had put on a new yamaha belt that turned out to be slightly longer than normal :cussing: (I now measure all my belts). Gave it a bad bog off the line.
1 1/4 belt deflection? is that correct? I had ask about bekt deflection awhile back, and did`nt hear any comments on how much, but i had read some stuff at totally yamaha I think it was, about 1 1/4 bieng the standard on most or all modern machings. thanks.
P.S, when I checked my belt deflection, it was much closer to 1 3/4 or more, so i rechecked my center to center, and off set, and both were dead on.

i will check that out tommorow thanks tim
Hey Tim, Im having the same problem with my 93 right now, stock gasket though, but 800 pipes.
I have my airscrew at 1.5 also and Im running 45 pilots. Falls right to sleep if I pin it from a stand still, but if I ease into it, its just fine.
Racer sugested flipping the choke on when I pinned it to see if it was a lean low circuit problem. Well I did and the problems gone!
So now Im at the same point, do I bump up the pilots or turn the airscrews out?
Anyway the choke tricks a good way to tell if its doing it because its to lean.
