Throttle problem

I am having a problem with my 1992 V-Max4 reving up when I hit the throttle, and a light comes on that says "tqrs" What does that mean and how do I fix it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TORS= "throttle over ride system" its a system designed to shut the motor rpm down to below engagement rpm. yours is probley out of adjustment. unless you have a carb hanging up? if thats the case, than the tors is doing its job.
