you guys that did the head gasket mod did tou use the cebter gasket or the middle one i seam to have a problem with mine getting blown out i tourqed the head to specs 16 lbs and in order acording to book but i cant get it to seal warped head maybe help me please before the snow melts thanks tim
If you are using a 92 (3-layer) gasket, I'd use one of the outer layers, the center layer seems softer than the others. If you are using a 93-97 (2-layer) gasket then it doesn't matter. Just be aware that not all layers of the gasket have the black coating on them that seals the gasket. You should spray the gasket with Permatex Copper Cote.
What exactly have you done to your sled?

all i did to the engine was rebuild it and take out 2 layers of head gasket every thing else is stock i did not spray it with copper coat that is probaly my problem thanks tim

thanks ken i used the copper coat like you said and rode all day without any problems thanks i was always under the impression you never use any thing one head gaskets guesse i was wrong thanks again
