I'm fine, VERY busy at work, I haven't had holidays for 2 weeks so a bit tired. BUT, I got my self a new toy, an Efini(Mazda) RX-7 1992, twin turbo, rotary engine, 255 hp etc. Sweet car! I wish winter would end soon ;) My Vmax is soon finished, I just need that one holiday to finish everything...
That is a great car! What I´ve read about japaneese car taxation, it is abit different from ours.
Wanna bring a Toyota Supra Twin Turbo for me ? Late 90´s model (330 hp ) would be great, with a stick shift orcourse... LOL

Well, you can get those for about 8000€ here :). My RX-7 was about 4000 € so quite cheap. I've been working and saving money and finally got enough to buy a car.
From my experience, here in Japan people don't buy old cars and the tax is cheap for the new cars, I think mainly to support local car manufactures, therefore people rather buy new cars than old. For example my RX, only 13 years old and only 73000 km's on the meter and people are horrified about the age and mileage. For me it is a new car and well worth keeping.

dont they change motors over there after 50,000 miles due to emmissions??? My brother out in California used to buy low milegw engines from japan for his crx's and preludes's.....cheap too!

I had a -98 Toyota Avensis TD. When I sold it, it had 380 000 kmīs on it... "best" year was when I drove well over 80 000kmīs!
My dad still has a -84 Toyota Carina II. It has a half a million kmīs on it.:sheep

This is not true, you can drive as much and as old cars as you want and no need to change engines after a certain mileage. The inspection for cars is every 2 years and of course it has to pass the emissions test etc. but certainly no need for e new engine every 50 000 miles.
The cars here have low mileage because they mainly drive in the city, to work and back so the cars really don't get that many miles during the years. Also, japanese are quite careful about their cars, maintenance etc. so you can get good engines and so from here cheap from the scrapped cars.
