I'm a new guy here and love this site. I live in Bradford Ontario Canada and have been riding my vmax 4 750 since 1997. And love every minute of it. But i got an SC10-2 suspension off a buddy and was told it will bolt right in. Is that true or do i need to drill holes?

Just did the swap myself.

Basically...

You can use the stock front holes and move the rear drop bracket forward. Just grind off the rivets move bracket forward drill holes and rivet. Strengthen the tunnel there too. If you do it this way you might have some ratcheting problems (where the drivers slip on the track lugs). You can fix this with anti ratchet drivers. Then there is a possibility the drivers might contact the front of the rails . This can be fixed by trimming the rails. I, however, got lucky and didn't have to do any of that. Track is tight with more than 1" of adjustment left. Tested it in DEEP snow. Just about got stuck but no slipping.

Or use the stock rear mounting and move the front hole back.

However you do it the center to center distance on the mounting holes has to be 24.75". I used a ratchet strap and compressed everything until I achieved the proper measurement.

Sc-10 II is 1" narrower than the stock skid. You will have to make some spaces.1/2" per side.

I had the whole swap done in just over 4 hours with a parts run and a couple beer breaks.

Sorry for the novel. Took a little more to type than I thought it would.
