this is how to stuff a larger track under your sled with a stock skid. it gives alot more tunnel to ground clearance as well.

first pic i installed a bracket that lowers the skid. it uses 5 bolts to hold it in. i hope to make templates of these plates for others to use

second pic top right. is 8 tooth drivers. 8 tooth drivers are needed to do this mod. i went with extroverts just because i could :D

bottem left. it leaves a bit of room for me to go larger, this track i have now i am using to test it out it is a 1.5" camoplast and missing alot of its lugs. i havent bought the one i want to use yet. hoping to get a 2" and shave it to fit the coolers.

bottem right. you need to move the mounting holes down and back. i had a few too many brewskis and a really late night and screwed up. i went out 1/4 too far back and the track went too tight.... oops.. funny thing is i managed to dill the holes perfect lol.

i will get more detailed info tomorro. i am burnt out from work.

Good post Busted Max, It's a challenge on these V4's to get more lug height and it looks like you have a good plan! Keep sending pictures...ALLSEASONRIDER

picked up a 2" track... will let you all know how it works out.

needs full clipping, will drill 1 1/8" holes to reduce tunnel pressures and better snow excavation from the skid.

Where are you going to drill the holes in the tunnel....the big problem with pressure buildup is at the front of the tunnel where the drivers are?

tunnel gets no holes. the track gets the holes, with the large paddles the pressure can slow you down quite a bit.

1 1/8" holes in the track will make lighter rotating mass, the track will bend easier at the rear and the drivers, this does take up horse power. better snow excavation, and the pressures by the drivers can vent thru the holes. heard it does not drastically cut the life of the track or much of its strength. i picked this track up cheap, so its not a huge loss if it doesnt work. i have 2 others i am not using it this one blows up. will also need to be notched for the coolers.

not lookin for the little added power gains just to get that snow tossed out the back and the pressure reduced.

will be taking this sled out to valemount next year. gotta be ready for the powder!!!!! this sled has been in the mountains before. heard it worked pretty good with the stock track.
