Hello,

I've always loved the Vmax and have been on Yamaha's since birth. I actually own my first two sleds still (77 & 78 440 Exciters).

I just picked up a 93 Vmax 4 from Colorado with 1500 miles. It has a few mods. I like the 144" long track extention (I believe it is aftermarket, never seen a 93 Mountain). I'm working on the 78 440 Exciter as a drag project and will be adding this Vmax4 to the project list for next winter. More than likely I will be reaching out to you guys with a few questions. I'll post pics soon.

Great site!

Welcome to vmax4.com!!!

one thing for sure..you won`t have to go far to do some ice racing...white lake is a hot spot!!

I`m just north of ya, in grand blanc MI...maybe 25 miles..something like that..

Sweet. I race/ride on White Lake. Live off Wardlow. My 93 has 12,000 miles and still hits 105mph and it wasn,t done yet. Very inexpensive adrenaline.

I live on Pontiac Lake, but make it over to White Lake now and then. I'm new to ice drags, but have been taking my time learning as much as possible before I race a machine at an event. I still like to race friends and fellow lakers when the opportunity presents itself. Since the purchase, I've been able to open it up across the lake and I'm addicted. I've been on a lot of different sleds and this is the one for me. The crank has been welded. Carbs rebuilt and jetted. A RPC ignition box, but I'm not sure if that is an advantage. It has quad RPC pipes and I believe some porting work. I love the way it sounds! I'll more than likley get into the engine and clutch this off season. I would like to get into 200 HP range, but also am looking into adding turbo. All in easy stride, but I figure with the long track I can throw a lot of HP at the ice and hang on. Hopefully, I'll be able to meet up with ya on White Lake next year Ted.

We can all make it the winter quake next year. A good group of Vmax 4's on a Sunday should wake up the neighborhood!
