Was in vintage for many years and enjoyed it and still do also new sleds and bikes then downsized last 3 years with JD Spitfires 340FA's left. Still got my 93 Harley since new.
Always liked big sleds,had many Yamaha bikes and SM's with no problems and then noticed that vmax had a LC 4 cyl so got my first 92 vmax4 750 couple mo's ago and we had a lot of snow this year so used it like a trail sled and was impressed.
( this is where i got Doug's number from a good ski doo friend Jersey Joe in PA and Doug talked about the site and helped with alota questions )
I also had 2 or 3 others from this forum respond to my post on SM sites looking for info and told me ser man get from Yamahe dealers and did and was sent a vmax4 PDF from this forum but forgot your names.Thanks for the info.
Now just got a 96 800 and will post some things done and some questions for you I know you can answer.
Also looking for 1997 vmax4 800 turn key no time to build one.
Into bass fishing,hunting and 1956 Fords so still have alot of irons in the fire but time for snowmobiles.
Live in Ct but spend alot of time at Camp in Maine
My daughter and (son in law Dan professional water crosser) in NH big time snowmobilers and both grand kids started riding at 3 years old.
