Dean I might have the best news you've heard all day about your Toyota. First what year is it and is it a 3.0 liter?
racer7x
12-14-2005, 05:24 PM
Josh, I already know what you are going to say, my headgasket blew in 98 with 112000 miles and Toyota covered it. Complete new motor.... It only came with a 1 year warranty... They wont do it again.....
BTW its a 91 Extended cab 4x4 3.0

That sucks Dean, try to get a good nights sleep and everything will seem a little better in morning.
Maybe the Avalanche will have to pull double duty for a little while.
I wish we lived closer together, I'd help you replace it.
Normally in the these situations I would have to make a deragatory remark about how you should be driving a Ford, but I won't pour salt in the wound, lol, CHEER UP BUDDY :banana_1:

Dean,
I don't know you that great but I have to agree with Skinner, take it easy!!
If you could get it here, you could use our garage.
If you do need anything for it, please let me know. I have known a guy for about 15 years that has a Toyota shop 2 miles away from me. He has had a shop that is awesome and I am sure he would help me out if you need something.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I found a garage to use, but I wont be able to do anything until the holidays are over.
But, Firemanharry is loaning me his jeep to use. At least I wont have to walk to work in the cold. LOL

Aw man, that sucks. I so hate when stuff like that happens and it's always such a hassle and sooooo expensive. I'm glad you don't have to walk to work. I don't know what good a Ford would do though...the engine might run, but that won't do you much good when the body rusts to dust. :tease:

AH, so the thruth has come out. Nice try Dean, quite a cover up. You know damn well a bad headgasket didn't cause this.
I don't think that your insurance is gonna cover this one buddy, and what were you doing towing a boat in the middle of winter anyways?
