I tried to ask about this in What to do, what to do..., but I guess I might have been stretching the thread a bit far, or something, but I was wondering, after reading the tech notes on this, about the direct oil injection, I see you have done it Busted Max, does it improve anything? Is it a worth-while mod?
Thanks, Lewis

Lewis, I did it to my 88 Exciter because I thought I could control the oil use better, but it didnt really help. If you keep the oil cable properly adjusted there should be no need for it. JMO....:bum:

no i havent used it yet. it came with my 93 when i bought it. i dont even know who made the kit i have. heres a pic.
biggest thing about it is on the stock setup it mixes before it hits the carbs so if your idling for a bit and nail the gas the mixture changes. it takes a while for the better mix of oil to hit theparts that need it most. at idle it can be as high as 100:1 and at wot somwere around 50:1, not too sure on the mixtures ratio. with the direct injection it is right there on the spot with the oil. not putting it on the 94 sled. stock works fine
