i've been playing around with my clutching and i have a orange spring i aquired for a vmax 4.. it came with 2 shims i one really thick and the other smaller...i ran it with no shims and it engages at 4000... i have i'm guessing stock weights 8ba 10 with a single rivet in the tip i believe... i don't know if its a Dalton or bender spring i was just told it was for a vmax4 for higher engagement... has anybody ran a good setup with this spring..we tried adding another rivet cause it was revving high but the clutch wasn't fully closing under wot... the spring that was in it was black with a whit stripe...

92 750 vmax4

I tried the Hauck orange primary spring but it was a little too aggressive for the trail (5000 plus engagement rpm)

I`m not sure if this will help...but check out this page..has refference to the orange spring...

EDIT: bad link...let my try cutting and pasting it..

okay that worked..
