I am going to do a top end on my asphalt sled. I orderd base gaskets from Hauck. I orderd part #HVX4CBG-39. Should be .39 Base gasket. When I checked thickness they are .029. is this normal or Did I get sent the wrong ones or am I not messuring right.
yeah, he must have meant .039in..
that said...010in of a difference I do not see as a big deal..heck, maybe a good thing..unless your running your squish on the very ragged edge, no?
I did mean .039. I had my heads cut down .020. I have not assembled any thing yet. I was going off all the post for changing the port timing. It seemed like most common was .039 base gasket and .020 off head. Just was not sure on the gasket I got being .029.
