Grip and thumbwarmers

My grip and thumb warmers are not working on my 93. Where should I start to fix the problem?

Electrical section 8-30 of the service manual has a couple of pages on the grip/thumb warmer system. It says it could be the resistor under the handlebar pad, grip and thumb warmer coil located under the left airbox, or the switch itself. It also outlines how to check each one.
