Help clutch gone

Just bought a 1997 mmax 800. Decent shape but the primary clutch is gone. Yamaha doesn't sell clutches for mmax 800 anymore just parts. It's about 1500 to buy the parts.

I have heard the apex clutch and the srx 7 clutch is similar?


anyone know if an apex clutch will work?

Anyone know other options?

there is an 08 nytro being parted in my region. Will hat clutch work
 

Yes they all work you just have to do a lil grinding work to the housing behind the clutch those fins have to be ground down so the new clutch will work
 
The heads of the bolts that hold the mag cover will also have to be ground down a bit as well.You will also have to get 800 weights and spring.Check offset as well.
 
Is the clutch cracked or broken? If the rear sheave is good it would save all that grinding by using the rear sheave with a different spider and sliding sheave. If the sheaves are good just get new bushings put in it.
