Need Rebuild Advice

Well I hurt my sled this last weekend. I think I got it to hot and did some ring damage. I am doing a compreshion check tomarow. I went from a 11.20 to a 11.92 and not running well at all.

I am going to do a top end. Wondering what changes I should do. I have seen many post on the base gaskets and heads. I would like to do this stuff while its tore down.

motor is all stock\
24/37 gear
4600ft elevation
1/4 mile
91 pump fuel
best time ever was a 11.11 at 114mph

I found 1 piston scored at reeds, all others look ok. How do I check and make sure my crank has not spun, just wondering while I have it tore apart.

Your running an 800 so I doubt your crank is spun. Did you do a compression check on all the cylinders?

My compression was 120,120,125,125. Is the crank not spin on the 800.

I find it odd that the compression was still that high and ran so poorly.

Your compression are ok. Recheck your crank indexation and make very sure you have 90* betwin each cylinder. Also check the reed for brocken petal.

No broken reeds, how do I check the crank for 90 between each cylinder.

Use degre wheel and dial indicator, it`s easy to work.
