Well I was pleased with the setup of the sled as my starting point.

She went to 8,400-8,500 and stayed right there thru all three runs.

I ran three runs 92.6/89.7/92.8 ... Ya I know, they suck.

Traction was a HUGE problem. She lit the track up all three times. The second run I really had to get out of it for traction issues. I now see that a 1" with 144 1-1/4" woody's won't cut it. More tuning is definately in order.

There was another fella there (the Moons sled) with two Vmax4's and he had the same issue. He said his were slightly modded, but yet I had better times than both of his sleds on his first two runs that I seen and mine is bone stock!

I finally got to meet Jack Henricks and chatted with him for a bit and he is going to give me some info on my Improver. He couldn't even remember the sled I was refering to.

Jack brought some BIG IRON there too, that blue and white Simons/CPR sled gave me a chubby just lookiing at it!

Anyway, my daughter did a good job on the camera.

BTW, Hopper it was nice to meet ya, too bad I had to leave around 3 as I wanted to talk with ya. Daughter just had to get home in case she missed something. Teenagers, sheesh

How did the Simon's CPR Pro Mod Outlaw sled run?

I'm not sure to which one you are refering to but the blue/white ran a 160. I grinned from ear to ear when I heard that and Immediately though of you and know you have that in your pocket already. He may have had some issues. The first run she was coughing and backfireing for 250 feet that was not a good run but the second run he got a good launch with the 160 speed.

The blue/white (I believe) ran faster times than the all blue sled. I didn't hear any speeds with that one other than somebody at the line mentioned the white one beat the blue one.

Hi Ron, track was hard to hook-up to, especially with trail studs. Next time maybe we'll have more time to talk. Justin, the CPR-turbo went 164.X on his last run

That's bookin' Hopper, LOL! I know the new one of Hendrick's is a Pro Line Pro Mod Chassis. I'll stick to my production full-body sleds, although the thought has been eating at me more to build a Pro-Mod chassis and duplicate my power-plant. I'm sure they'll be at the Weenie Roast with that one for sure. Now that the NSSR season is over, I'm thowing Curt on my sled for the Roast as he weighs only 699 pounds wet on the NSSR scale, that should be good for another 3-mph in 1000'.

Can't wait to see all you guys at the Roast...and finally Mr. Forkins is going to show up too, LOL!

He had the proline chassis one there, but they've got some bugs to work out on that one. I'll try to get some of the speeds for that one. Don't think I can make weenie roast, have to drive my bus for a bachelor party sat night, maybe next year.
