So after fighting with my engine build and bender trail quads i could not get rid of low end puke so i put reg pipes on and it came out of it its 8bu with decked .30 cyl and .63 base shim added ports on intake and mains opened up about a 1/4 in my question is should i have opened the piston boost port and did some timing adv to make this work i know its not alot of info but 8bu weights emty seemed to work but still no hole shot engagment at 46 ish

How's your compression? If I'm reading this right and you raised the cylinders .063" and you decked .030", you lost compression. The port work could have cost you a little more. High compression is good for throttle response. The stock pipes will work better like you discovered. Quad pipes need compression and higher engagement. 5,000 rpm is better.

I engage mine at over 6500. No low end bog there.

I got rid of the head gasket and run O rings so I got .43 aquish
