Vintage carb cleaning

Is there anything I should be cautious of with these carbs? I have a 76 gp300 that could use a carb cleaning never had an older carb opened up before? Are gaskets and parts available? Also I'd like to get a new tether for this sled can I get one at any yami store?

Any idea what model carb is on it? I've downloaded .pdf documents from Mikuni that show all of the parts breakdowns and other info. You might be find something on the net. The TotallYamaha tech page has carb cleaning instructions with pictures. If you search gp300 on their forums, you will find a guy who had a service manual for your sled.

Tethers are pretty easy to come by. I wouldn't go to a dealer unless you can't find one anywhere else. I'd try the local snowmobile boneyard, or someplace like Al's Snowmobile Parts Warehouse. I've seen them come up on ebay, too. It will be a lot more expensive at the dealer.
