any one know a good web site to order round slide on a pin type floats for a vm36 ... checked with dealer but wowzers and that was for only one float . I dont know why these floats got so chewed up below the side pin . thanks . :fishing: (1979 srx 440 )

upon re assembly of my vm36 mikunis i look in the service manual and it doesnt give a spec for the main adjusting screw ( well it does " 0 " ?? ) on the outside bottom of the bowl . When i disassembled it I wrote down a half turn from the bottom . Maybe some one knows what the starting point...

Went by the local auto wrecking yard and noticed someone dumped off 4 vintage doo bubblenose and one slightly newer old sled would say late 60's to a early 70 all in bad looking condition but with a lot of parts still on them . If weather permits i might feel sorry enough and make an offer on...

been trying to find a spare waterpump belt just for my 1979 . Yamaha parts man says dont make and the newer sleds went to gear drive . Anyone know a manufacturer who has the correct belt ? :2dontknow

I happen to notice that my sled has NO bounce to the rear suspension today after removing the stands to keep the track off the floor . It has like 4 inches of free travel in the suspension . So I think the shock is kaput . Is the best way a new shock or can these be rebuilt ? Thanks :frech32:

hello everyone , i happen to notice a small hole between the filler plug and the oil vent tube on my sled . Is there a oil level screw missing there since its a open small hole on the chaincase ? :cussing:

hi , are the spark plug wires removable from the ignition coil ? Dont want to mess anything up , just happen to notice one wire cap is very loose on the spark plug and the plug looks like it was arcing & black on top . Anyone ever use better than o.e.m. spark plug wires on their older sled ? :snow:

Havent posted in a while but just asking if there is much difference in ride quality between a 1980 440 exciter and a 440 srx ( 1979) ? :3speechle Thanks . I know the srx is made for speed so would the exciter be a smoother riding trail sled ?

Does anyone know if the hood would be the same from 1976 through 1981 on the SRX models ? ( 440 ) thanks . There is some one in wisconsin supposedly molding some vintage hoods for a few different sleds . :drink1:

Any one know what size threads are on a clutch puller tool for the comet 102c ? They must be metric ? Just want to clean the threads out on the clutch and are not sure what they are . This relating to an old 79 srx. Thanks .
